Animals and Such

As this is a joint project originating in a minecraft SMP, many of the animals present are Minecraft animals. This means that they bear close resemblance to a variety of real-world animals, though canonically, there are notable differences. When canonized, those differences will be recorded on this page. At some point, I will list region-specific breeds and species. For this page, I will not be recording the undead or fantastic species of people, only non-person animals.

Large, Terrestrial Mammalians

These animals are implied heavily to reproduce by live birth, rather than by egg-laying. They include (what are called) bears, camels, cats, cows and mooshrooms, dogs and wolves, foxes, goats, horses and donkeys, llamas, pandas, pigs and hoglins, rabbits, and sheep. Armadillos are canon to minecraft, but I am unsure whether they exist in Spectre.

Aquatic Animals

Fish and such. There's fish and such. Forefront among them are salmon. Fuck yes salmon. Other aquatic animals canonized in Spectre are axolotls, cod, dolphins, guardians, nautili, pufferfish, squid and glowsquid, turtles, and miscellaneous tropical fish. Frogs are also present.

Flying Vertebrates

Birds of many kinds are canon to Spectre. Among them are parrots, some birds of prey, and a variety of irrelevant songbirds. Chickens are a commonly kept domestic animal, due to their size and egg-laying. Non-bird animals with flight include bats, dragons, and phantoms.

Bugs or Whatever

Large arthropods are present in Spectre. Among these are various giant spiders, as well as bees, and silverfish. I'm sure there's more.

Other Small Animals

A variety of small animals exist as well, including frogs, lizards, crabs, spiders, mice, and other such. Nobody has given them much thought.

Other Large Animals

A number of fictional species exist on Spectre, primarily drawn from Minecraft. Several of these cannot be easily sorted into the above categories. They include Sniffers, Ghasts, Allays (?), Blazes, Creepers, and Wardens. Villagers and illagers are not canon to Spectre, rendering the existence of Ravagers dubious.
